Finding the Right Auto Transport Options

Fast Track Auto is the only name you need to know for door-to-door vehicle transport nationwide. We offer both open and enclosed tractor-trailer hauling along with hotshot trucks for quicker delivery. Plus, we research every automobile shipping carrier to make sure you receive the best possible service with full liability protection.

The Right Way

  • Open Transport - Door to Door
Your vehicle is transported on an open car carrier much like the ones used to deliver new cars from the manufacturer to the dealers. Your vehicle will be picked up at your door (or as close as possible) and will be delivered to the door (or as close as possible) at your specified destination. Open transport usually costs less than enclosed transport.
  • Enclosed Transport - Door to Door
Your vehicle will be transported on a completely enclosed trailer designed to transport classic automobiles, prototypes or vehicles that cannot be exposed to inclement weather. Your vehicle will be picked up at your door (or as close as possible) and will be delivered to the door (or as close as possible) at your specified destination.

The Right Carrier

Once we book a job, we need to choose a carrier. Before finalizing your door-to-door vehicle shipping arrangements, we make sure to carefully investigate the carrier transporter we choose, always doing our due diligence and double-checking their insurance coverage.

The Right Trucks

We research different types of trucks and trailers for shipping in order to decide what works best for your car. Not every truck or trailer is used for universal transport. A trailer used for boat transport might be able to ship a car, but a trailer used for motorcycle shipping probably can't be used for auto transport. Also, the type of truck and trailer you choose will impact the price and speed of your delivery, as well as determine the amount of exposure your vehicle will face during transport.

Two main types of trucks used for car transport service: tractor-trailer trucks or a pick-up style trucks (known as hotshots). Tractor-trailers are usually a better choice for discount auto shipping because they can haul more vehicles at once but they are slower and have a hard time navigating residential areas. You may need to meet your driver in an open parking lot to load and unload your car from a tractor-trailer. Hotshot trucks are more expensive, but can deliver your vehicle faster and have an easier time navigating neighborhood streets.
